Me and You We Has Something Good 11 July 2020 © written by Zoe the Storyteller Me and you we had something good Me and you we had something good Like the ocean that we use to swim in Eating fish and chips with a sea view Before the ocean turned black and all the fish they sold out Me and you we had something good Me and you we had something good See the flock of seagulls swaying in the wind Standing on the pier watching the sunset Before they knocked it all down and all the houses wiped out Me and you we had something good Me and you we had something good I still hear the sound of the merry-go-round kids laughing as they spin around Now it’s just a ghost town there’s no turning back now Me and you we had something good Me and you we had something good Lying on the sea front Listening to waves crash Young lovers with no cares in the world oh, how times have changed now Me and you we had something good Me and you we had something good Me and you we had something good If I could take it back I would Me and you we had something good If I could take it back, you know I would

Fly 03:56
Fly 9 July 2020 © written by Zoe the Storyteller When was the last time you got away from yourself? From your thoughts from all that plays on your mind Did you take a walk? Did you run a mile? Cycle the unknown Or did you fly? They carry you away into a distant land Where the sun shines bright and your cares fall to the ground Can you see your footprint in the sand? Is it faint or is it too deep to stand? Did you take a walk? Did you run a mile? Cycle the unknown Or did you fly? There’s only so much time to escape from this mess We are running out of excuses Did you take a walk? Did you run a mile? Cycle the unknown Or did you fly?

Rainbow 03:27
Rainbow 12 July 2020 © written by Zoe the Storyteller Today there’s a rainbow the gold waits at the end coins and diamonds and glitter Today the clouds are candy floss the moon is made of cheese and the stars are people in the sky I’m sitting on a swing Playing in the park and singing along with the bird songs Jumping on the trampoline making pictures out of clouds and chasing the sun in the sky Today I drew a picture of a rainbow I put it in the window I don’t know much but I believe I know the world and not knowing made me believe more I’m sitting on a school bus always wishing I could grow up and I’m running down the hill back home I can see the pictures of the rainbows In the windows Today there’s a rainstorm biggest I’ve ever seen empty streets and lamp lights glimmer I’m clapping on the doorstep getting lost in the forest now the birds they sing louder Can you see the pictures of the rainbows? in the windows? Wish I could look in your eyes with no worries, no thoughts, no questions Tell me why are, we in the mess we’re in? x2 Yesterday I’d forget be careless and naïve cos not knowing made me feel better It’s easier to carry on acting like there’s nothing wrong cos no one wants to talk about it I can’t forget the pictures of the rainbows In the windows Wish I could look in your eyes with no worries, no thoughts, no questions Tell me why are, we in the mess we’re in? Tell me why are, we in the mess we’re in?

Plastic Ocean 19 July 2020 © written by Zoe the Storyteller Take me away Take me away to the deep blue sea So I can breathe So I can breathe Not knowing is easy I don’t want to swim in plastic oceans but I don’t believe in all that I can’t see when I look away Ship it away Ship it away to a foreign land I can’t escape I can’t escape from all that’s left behind I don’t want to swim in plastic oceans But I don’t believe in all that I can’t see when I look away I always dreamed I always dreamed I’d swim with dolphins I don’t want to swim in plastic oceans But I don’t believe in all that I can’t see when I look away Take me away Take me away to the deep blue sea

It’s Hard to Give Up 3 August 2020 © written by Zoe the Storyteller We sit in the park on the top of a hill It feels so good to see your face and breathe in fresh air It’s hard to give up So hard to give up on you Who would have thought we would end up here? How could we have known all that could change in just a year It’s hard to give up So hard to give up on you Here comes the storm Getting closer to home The sun it may shine but something is gone The comfort I’ve known left behind It’s hard to give up So hard, giving up on you What happens now were out of time? What happens when there’s nothing left to buy To fill the hole, you left behind To fill the hole, you left behind

When I Was A Kid 9 July 2020 © written by Zoe the Storyteller When I was a kid, I use to climb trees Can’t believe I’m old enough to have a child of my own Now I can’t help but think will there be any trees left for my kids When I was a kid, I use to play in the park with my brother for hours until it got too dark Oh I, I can’t help but think will there be any park left for my kids? When I was a kid, I made dens in the wood And ran around the grass naked just because I could Oh I, I can’t help but think will there be any woods left for my kids? When I was a kid, I use to chase butterflies Now I feel so lucky just to see one pass me by Oh I, I can’t help but think Will there be any left now for my kids? When I was a kid I wished that I was a star I’d sing the main stage at Glastonbury festival Now I, I can’t help but think Now I, I can’t help but think Will my kids be allowed to dream? Will my kids be allowed to dream? Will my kids be allowed to dream? What’s a world without trees? What’s a world without parks? What’s a world without dreams? Just concrete Car fumes Smart phones Power stations Concrete Car fumes Smart phones Toxic landfill concrete Car fumes Smart phones Planes fill the sky
